Location Mapping
This is one of the coolest features! Here's the gist:
Do you see worms in the skittles in the last image (click to zoom in)? If I reduce the segmentation size it's even harder to see the skittles from a distance:
So, it might be obvious, but this feature increases the probability that colors in similar (X,Y) locations will match and map together. Colors in the middle of the color image will more likely match the same locations in the destination image.
A non-candy example:
Can you see the squirrel in the last image? Click and zoom in! No? How about now as we give the value more strength as well as mess with the segmentation?:
Note! In those captions I spelled out some of the settings I was using. Right now the lower the number the stronger the setting. When I say "Seg 20-40" that's a parameter that changes how the segmentation works. The larger the range the larger the segments.
